I have a 2 years old, 1 hour charger that was made when rechargeable batteries were 1800 mAh. is this device going to be able to recharge the new 2650 mAh rechargeable batteries.

the kind of batteries is NIHM and the charger is NIHM too.

It depends on the battery type.
Ni Cad chargers are slightly different to the ones made for the newer Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. (the charging current and delta peak detection are different)
