No. Both batteries have different electrical ratings. The Ni-Mh
batteries are made up of different chemicals than the Ni-Cd., and
require a charger that matches the electrical voltage rating. Example, the electrical rating called milliamps which is the current draw of the two different batteries. Another variable is the
number of batteries you are charging. Stick with the manufactures recommended charging times and type of charger. David N

It depends. If you have a fast charger, no. The batteries have different electrical properties and the fast charger may not turn off at the correct time, over-charging and damaging the battery.

There are fast chargers that are called “dual chemistry” or “smart charger”. These types of chargers will charger either battery.

Most slow chargers will charge either type of battery with no problem.

just do it the worst that could happen is it could explode in your face causing blindness , facial deformities or death then could start a fire burning down your house or apartments building. if you have never done it before make sure you stick them in the right way then feel ‘em to make sure there not getting to hot to fast if they are pull them out let it cool down then put it back in again you should be able to do this several times without an explosion
