No, you need the plug and play rechargable battery pack…
But if I may suggest, buy a wired controller, so that you never need to charge it or buy plug and plays (they die quickly)…

No you have to buy a separate new battery pack that can be plugged in and charged. If you bought the two pack it should have come with a new battery Pack. If not they sell them at Best Buy and Wal-mart for like 10-15 Bucks it will clearly say plug and play battery.
