its called quick charger and rechargeable AAA bateries. When i
plug the charger with batteries to the wall the 2 red lights come on
and the batteries are drained, trying to charge them up.

The red lights usually mean that the unit is charging the batteries. It looks like yours has one light per 2 batteries. Just check the batteries ever 1/2 hour if it’s a quick charge and there should be plenty of juice. If not, put them back in for another 1/2 hour up to a maximum of 2 to 4 hours.
If this doesn’t work, return it for instructions.
It won’t ‘cook’ your batteries, in fact, the red lights will probably turn off indicating they’re fully charged.

The red lights mean the batteries are charging. They should turn green when a full charge is on the batteries. If they came with the charger, they probably not charged so you need to charge them for at least 16 hours the first go round.
