The PSP cord just goes straight from the power socket to the PSP charger box (which presumably brings down the voltage to a suitable level for the PSP). Can’t I just use that same cord, but for my camera battery charger? There appears to be no electronic components on the cable, I’m assuming it would work the same as the original cable?
Will I blow up my camera by any chance?

those are the same cables and you can use it. I do the same with my camera. That cable (presumably the one that looks like an ’8′) takes in power, but not more power than any other of the same cable.
Actually, I might be using my PSP’s charging cable to charge my battery as we speak.
