what brand of battery charger is best?

i only want to charge AA batteries for my digital camera. maybe other things but mainly the camera. if i had an energizer charger, would i only be able to use energizer batteries? could i charge Duracell or other brands in an energizer charger?

i dont think so. i use duracell rechargables. they work good. i dont know how well the energizers work.

    Ah, the cheaper units tend to overcharge the batteries. Make sure you get a name-brand. These can recharge all RECHARGEABLE batteries but not regular batteries. I prefer Litium Ion over Cadmium rechargeables.

    Normally, you get the charger for the type battery you will be charging. Ni-cad charger for Ni-Cads or a Nimh charger for Nimh batteries. You can use a Ni-Cad charger for Nimh batteries, but you risk shortening their charging lives. Some will get hot to the touch during the charging cycle. Battery manufacturers prefer you use the appropriate charger for the batteries in question.
