I have a small Sony battery charger for 2 x AA or 2 x AAA. It came with a digital camera. It has an orange LED which glows steady when it is charging. What does it mean if the orange LED flashes? Thanks.

Usually when a charger LED is on this stage of charge the batteries are almost fully charged when the LED’s change to green or go out then the batteries are fully topped off.
It is best to wait for them to be fully charged before use to avoid any “memory” effect where they remember being partially charged and will not take a full charge past this point in the future.
It means it’s done charging itself….
LED act as indicator, the LED continuous to glow if the battery are not yet fully charge, the light will turns off when the battery is full charge
