I have an Energizer battery charger, i’m just wondering if any type of batteries will be charged in it (rechargeable batteries, of course).

No. The charger and the batteries have to be compatible. You can’t charge a Li-Ion battery in a NiCd charger, etc. The charger has to be designed for the battery chemistry. The battery, the charger, or both could be damaged if you used the wrong charger for a given battery. You also can’t properly charge a 200 mAh battery in a charger designed to charge a 2500 mAh battery. The extra current would damage the small battery.
